The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson Book Review I chose to read The Christopher Killer because it looked like an exciting mystery with real logic behind it—and it did not disappoint. The beginning was a bit slow as the author tried to provide the story’s backround: describing Cameryn’s (the main character) relationship with her.
The Christopher Killer is a novel by Alane Ferguson set in the small town of Silverton, Colorado. The book centers around Cameryn who is the assistant to her coroner father. It was released on May 4, 2006 in the United States. The book was an Edgar Award Nominee in 2007.I am a Reading Resource Teacher and I am always on the look out for interesting books for teens and young adults. The Christopher Killer is the very intriguing look at the world of forensics without being disgusting or gorey. The students that have read it, truly enjoyed it and I must say, I enjoyed it as well.The essay unit was my second favorite unit because of the freedom on what to write. I liked writing about topics that I feel are important--no matter how big or small. At least one of my micro essays could have used a bit more polishing, which created an uneven quality over all.
